Cassandra Pimentel

Cassandra Pimentel is a Filipina American filmmaker most known for her festival selected short film Plaza Blvd (2017)  and her web series It’s Not You, It’s Me (2014) starring Yoshi Sudarso (Nickelodeon’s Power Rangers Dino Charge) and Chris Dinh (Wong Fu Productions' Strangers,Again). Plaza Blvd premiered at the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival, and to name a few, it was also a finalist at the FACINE Philippine Arts & Cinema International Film Festival and Los Angeles Cinefest. Cassandra strives to incorporate culture in her projects; her short film, Battle of the Sticks (2016) starring Niko Del Rey (The Filharmonic), shares the Filipino cultural dance, Tinikling.           

Cassandra built her feature film experience as the  First Assistant Director on the Netflix film, Chalk It Up in 2014,  and from 2016 to 2017 she assisted Producer Deborah Del Prete (Wedding Planner, Ender’s Game)  in producing the feature film Locating Silver Lake starring Josh Peck (Nickelodeon’s Drake and Josh)  and Finn Wittrock (LA LA Land, American Horror Story).  

Cassandra has been featured on platforms such as  the San Diego Filipino Press newspaper, TFC’s Balitang America, Asians on Film, That’s My Entertainment and FilAm TV for her film projects.  

Coming this fall 2018 Cassandra will be releasing a number of film projects such as A.S.S. - A Scary Sleepover starring Thia Megia (American Idol, TotallyTV) and Morning Beautiful starring Dia Frampton (The Voice, Meg and Dia).
