Trace Gaynor

Trace Gaynor is a musician & content creator based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in Elmhurst, IL, Trace began creating short & poignant documentaries for teenagers. At 14, he was guest speaker at the United Nations, the Aspen Ideas Festival, and was interviewed on CNN for his work.

Trace moved to Los Angeles in 2010 to attend the University of Southern California, graduating with degrees in Broadcast & Digital Journalism, Marketing, & Cinematic Arts. While at USC, he began pursuing his hobby of singing with the a cappella group, Troy Tones. He later co-founded the Filipino-American vocal group, The Filharmonic, to audition for NBC’s The Sing-Off.

Following the show, the group has gone on two national tours, made a cameo appearance in Universal’s Pitch Perfect 2, and has a recurring role on The Late Late Show with James Corden. The Filharmonic has shared the stage with acts such as Shawn Mendes, Liam Payne, Future, Fifth Harmony, Pentatonix, Black Eyed Peas, Linkin Park, Usher, & Jamie Foxx. As the media director for the group, Trace manages the group’s social media, and has produced over 50 music videos.

Excited to move back in the digital world with MYX, Trace continues to perform with and create content with The Filharmonic. In his spare time, Trace can be seen playing violin, belting out bottom harmonies to pop songs on the radio, and rereading the Harry Potter series an embarrassing number of times.
